THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY CHALLENGE MPI SUNBELT CHAPTER
Welcome to the Global Community Challenge! This program is designed to systematically track every MPI member's involvement and success in building the value of their MPI membership and industry knowledge while in turn constructing a firm foundation to grow personally and professionally. So step up to the Challenge. Follow the steps laid out on the Rules page and start laying a new (or maybe second) layer to your MPI membership foundation.
Definitions
- Global Community Challenge - A challenge to the Arizona Sunbelt Chapter MPI Members to build a stronger Network of peers through a series of face-to-face Meetings. Through which you gain a better understanding of the varied kinds of businesses and services offered by our membership. You are then further challenged to build onto this network of contacts by referring potential business to these and other MPI member businesses. Hint, think of the competing business down the street as a neighbor, someone who can assist you and you them, we are all in this together.
- Construction Period - Official start and end date of the Global Community Challenge, March 1 - December 31, 2008.
- Construction Zone - All members of the Arizona Sunbelt Chapter of MPI comprise the "Zone" in which meetings qualify for the Challenge. This is not limited to state lines as we have a number of members whose businesses are not in Arizona.
- Community Forum - A Kick off Meeting and Monthly Teleconference open to anyone to discuss the rules of the Challenge and to answer any questions about building your Neighborhood.
- Neighborhood - Your own personal network of contacts, comprised of Neighbors and Businesses.
- Neighbor - MPI member who represents a parallel, complimenting, or competing business to yours that you met with and added to your Neighborhood via a Building Permit.
- Business - MPI Member you want to do business with, can be another supplier, planner, student, that your met with and added to your Neighborhood via a Building Permit.
- Building Permits - Form to be completed after each face-to-face meeting with a Neighbor or Business to document your progress in building your Neighborhood.
- Certificate of Occupancy - Certificate awarded to you when you have completed 8 Building permits, 4 Neighbor and 4 Business type.
- Good Neighbor Report - Form to be completed to document business you do with an MPI Member or business you refer to an MPI member.
- Citizen 911 - Form to be completed or a call made to the Citizen 911 Hotline when you have a potential piece of business for a fellow MPI member but you do not know who to send it to.
- Citizen 911 Hotline - 602-277-1494 ext 1
- Community Award - Prestigious Award given to any MPI member who during the period of this Challenge refers 4 leads or actual pieces of business to any of your "NEW Neighborhood" (from the 8 permits above) or 8 leads to MPI members overall. Combo's of 3 New/2 Any, 2 New/4 Any, and 1 New/6 Any will also qualify.
- Brick - You are the Brick you are the first paver in building your Global Community.
- Pillar of the Communitee Award - Highest Award to be awarded to the Brick who completes all 8 Building Permits and completes the most Good Neighbor Reports and Citizen 911's. Award and prize to be presented a t the January 2009 regular Monthly meeting.
- Good Citizen Award - Award to those Bricks who may or may not have achieved the Certificate of Occupancy but completed the most Good Neighbor Reports and Citizen 911's. Award to be presented a t the January 2009 regular Monthly meeting.
