GLOBAL COMMUNITY CHALLENGE RULES 2009

Building our own Rich Global Community! One Brick at a time! (Yes, you are the Brick)

1. Construction Period (starts) March 1 to (ends) December 31, 2009.
   
   
2. Construction Zone (eligible members) ALL Arizona Sunbelt Chapter Membership.
   
   
3. Join in the Community Forum Teleconference on Monday, March 16, 11:30 am or Thursday, March 26 11:30 am. Dial: 1-800-791-2345, enter Conference Code: 56071#, for an overview of the rules and to answer any questions.
   
   
4. Register your "Commitment to Participate" online at the Global Community Challenge Home Page click on Global Community Registration so other members know who you are and reach out to you.
   
   
5. Goal: Build your "Neighborhood" of contacts by completing 8 Building Permits/Entry Forms, and submit to the Global Community Challenge online or a Membership Committee contact prior to December 31, 2009. (Hint: It is as simple as one (1) meeting per month)
   
   
6. Secondary Goal (but most important): Refer business to other MPI members, and file a "Good Neighbor Report" to record it! (See below for explanation)
   
   
7. Using your MPI Directory or online directory, choose eight (8) MPI members you would like to know better to be your "Neighbors" (preferably people that you have not met or would like to learn more about). Build your Neighborhood with members who represent a parallel or competing business (clients are not the goal here). Schedule a face-to-face meeting*. Get to know the person, the business they are in, who their customers are, and what they most need to be successful. How can you be their partner? If some of the people you choose are potential clients, remember, this is not a Sales call. Use the opportunity to learn about their organization. Ask how you can help them, what do they need most. Listen to what they need and be available to brainstorm. This is where you can hopefully refer them to one of your MPI Neighbors, or another MPI member they may not already know to help them.
   
   
8. After each face-to-face meeting, complete a "Building Permit/Entry Form," available online or at the membership table at monthly meetings.
   
   
9. Complete a "Good Neighbor Report," available online, or at each monthly meeting when you 1) do business with an MPI member, 2) refer a Neighbor to another MPI member, or 3) refer business from a non-MPI member to an MPI member.
   
   
10. Achievement Awards presented at January 2010 monthly meeting:
    
    1. Certificate of Occupancy - awarded to Bricks who have filed 8 Building permits
       
       
    2. Community Award - when you refer 8 leads or actual pieces of business to any of MPI member.
       
       
    3. Good Citizen Award - Award to the Brick who may or may not have achieved the Certificate of Occupancy but completed the most Good Neighbor Reports.
       
       
    4. Pillar of the Community Award - The Brick (that's YOU!) who completes all 8 phases of Building Permits, plus the most Community Awards will win the Grand Prize (Two night stay at the Hyatt Regency O-Hare, dinner cruise for two and Gift certificate towards airfare).
       
       
11. Keep the economy thriving when you grow your Community with MPI!
