Ok , instead of Back to the Future, Can we call this Back to the Blog? Um No !
I’ve never thought a whole lot about blogging, but was told recently in a training class that it is the number one way to increase your website’s visibility and ranking within the world of search engines. So if that type of thing is important to you? hmm, ( I am by the way an AV Geek , NOT a computer Geek : ) Then Blog away AZMPI, we need some nice rankings.
On the serious side, The President’s Blog is an excellent way for the President to put out timely and quick thoughts to the membership, and get equally quick comments back from members who need and crave the immediacy of it all. We will all need to be “Trained Up” on what it means to be true bloggers, and am hoping we can involve more members in this area, along with our entries in Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
This next paragraph was so well written by Deborah, I don’t dare delete it.
Generally speaking (though there are exceptions), many blogs tend to have a few things in common just like all of us do too. We may start using this area by sharing industry news, ideas, articles, travel tips, stories and even if you want a good recipe for your upcoming weekend bar-b-que party. Ok, maybe not that extreme, unless you’re hungry-ha! ( Well Said Ms. Past Pres !)

Fantastic idea with the blog, Deborah! This will be a great tool to get other planner’s/supplier’s feedback on what worked & what didn’t…especially when it encourages our Chapter members to BUY MPI!! Kerri

Just got back from MPI’s CLC, great conference. It is my mission to get upto speed with this whole blogging trend so I just signed up for WordPress. Great Rock’n Awards Concert. I had so much fun. Super excited about receiving the honor of Supplier of the Year. Thank you so much for the opportunities you offered me throughout this year to support MPI. It was well worth it.

Okay folks, I am joining the ranks kicking and screaming. Today I joined Facebook and now am blogging. What has this world come to?!?!
I was actually explaining the difference between facebook and twitter to
my mom (who turned 74 years old today but is taking a computer class-
you got love that woman) while my fifteen year old daughter stood laughing in the background. I am channeling my inner youth.

What an awesome AZMPI Education Forum 2009! Great times were had by all.
I can honestly say, this was just about the best Summer Forum have attended. ( I have been to the previous 5 ) I say this mainly because of the very nice bonding and fun times we all had together, The Scavenger hunt was a hoot, The Classy Friday night dinner, and Saturday’s Dinner with the Ghost Stories on the roof was memorable too. Great Jobs by all our keynotes too, Solid Education for sure ! Thanks for your input and work Donna and Laura.
Ok Gang, Any idea you have to improve our chapter which gives our members some value for their membership are welcome. Please dont be shy !!
